Exploring Australia's Coral coast can be an over-awing
experience to some travellers with the open expanses from one town
to the next. This need not be the case as there are many options
available to the traveller and with some forward planning your trip
will be an adventure not a disaster !
By Road :
Perth ~ Cervantes is 245kms
(2.5 ~ 3.0 hrs travel time).
Cervantes ~ Geraldton is 284kms (3.0 ~ 3.5 hrs travel time).
Geraldton ~ Kalbarri is 160kms (1.5 ~ 2.0 hrs travel time).
Kalbarri ~ Monkey Mia is 448kms (4.5 ~ 5.0 hrs travel time).
Monkey Mia ~ Carnarvon is 354kms (3.5 ~ 4.0 hrs travel time).
Carnarvon ~ Coral Bay is 239kms (2.5 ~ 3.0 hrs travel time).
Coral Bay ~ Exmouth is 153kms ( 1.5 ~ 2.0 hrs travel time).
Bitumen roads link all of the above towns.
Always carry water with you when travelling long distances.
Its safer to travel during the day rather than at night.
Kangaroos and emus can be a driving hazard from sunset
to sunrise, so please be aware of the hazard.
