There is no better way to make your Kalbarri holiday a whole lot of fun

If you're looking for things to do when visiting Kalbarri, then you owe yourself a trip with the Kalbarri River Queen on the Murchison River, surrounding Kalbarri National Park.

As one of the beautiful Coral Coast region highlights, Kalbarri River Queen cruises combine the natural scenic beauty of the Murchison River with Aussie style family fun, not to mention a great morning or afternoon tea.

Emphasis on the fragility of this eco-system is highlighted on all our cruises with the option of exploring this natural setting with our guided nature walks.

Tim, Julia and their fully qualified staff invite you to join them on the Kalbarri River Queen, so that  you too can discover the beautiful region we call home.
Your safety and comfort is paramount to our business. We cater for people of all ages and capabilities.

A full commentary compliments the ever-changing tranquil setting of the Murchison River. Questions are encouraged to make us feel that you are a part of what we do.
This commentary is full of facts and statistics ranging from the fishing industry (Tim's involvement spans a number of years on crayfishing, wetlining and charter vessels).

Lead mining and the introduction of ticket of leave convicts opening up the area and all other local history (Tim being a 5th generation inhabitant of the shire.)

Learn about the introduction of feral species to the region and their impact on the environment. History of Murchison House Station and how the export of feral goats has taken over where the grazing of sheep has left off.
Learn about the geology of this ancient waterway and how floodwaters have carved spectacular chasms through the Tumblagooda Sandstone on its meanderous journey to the Indian Ocean.

View an array of native birds along the way. Ranging from Osprey Eagles, White Belly Sea Eagles, Whistling Kites, Blackshouldered Kites, Nankeen Kestrels and numerous other raptors. Pelicans, Caspian Terns, Cormerants, Egrets of all sizes and colours and other Shoreline, estuarine and bush examples. 170 species in all listed in the Kalbarri area.

Western Gray and Red Kangaroos laze upon the sandstone edging of the river just out of arms reach. Euro or Walleroos have made nearby rocky outcrops their home. Emus race along Mullewa Flats disturbing the ferel goats, as they graze not far from the rivers edge.

Kalbarri River Queen has been operating over 25 years and has taken thousands of satisfied sightseers along the reaches of the lower Murchison River.
